The architectural project is a spatial thesis resulting from an intense examination of a socio-political set of issues. It is a manifesto that is always anchored in a specific historical and local context as well as an architectural type. Program, form, and function are subordinate to the thesis and can only be derivations, never starting points. The results are palimpsests of new, individual ideas based on existing social and cultural structures.Â
